A1: No, you do not have to register with WireNews in order to read any of the articles found on our website. There is content found behind the Paywall, but this is Bill White TV (BWTV) video content. You can use WireNews freely without registration.
A4: WireNews will never disclose your information, your name or email address or any other data that we hold that concerns you to any third party under any condition, with the exception to being compelled to do so pursuant a lawful court order.
A6: You may publish Blog Posts free of charge. Note that we do not share these posts via our social media and as a result of the exposure is considerably less than a News/Op-Ed or Press Release posting.
A8: Press releases and News/Op-Ed articles are distributed on our website and through numerous social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Tumblr. Additionally, journalists who have registered with our company receive notification of articles that meet the criterion they specified upon registration.
A9: When you attempt to publish a press release or News/Op-Ed article if you have no credit in your account or if you have not subscribed to our unlimited monthly or annual payment plans, you will be prompted to pay at that time. Select the option that suits you; a Single Press Release or Article for £1 (plus VAT) or a monthly or annual unlimited account that makes it possible for you to post any number of press releases or News/Op-Ed articles during the subscription period.
A10: Like most subscription based services your monthly or annual subscription will automatically renew unless you have cancelled it before the renewal date. If you do not wish to have your monthly or annual subscription renew (and charge your payment card) be sure to cancel before the renewal date. If you do not cancel before the renewal date you will be charged until you have cancelled. Both the monthly and annual subscription plans allow you to publish any number of press releases or articles during the relevant subscription period.
A11: Once you have paid either for a single press release or article you can publish your media by clicking the + (plus) icon found at the top left of your Member Dashboard. Enter the Title of your article, a Subtitle (not required), the Author’s Name (you can enter anyone’s name or your company’s name), the article text, any media or images can easily be inserted to the article and a YouTube video (code) if there is associated video content to support or enhance your article. If you have posted a Blog Post you should tick the “Blog Post” category. Do not select any of the Press Release or News/Op-Ed categories for a Blog Post. If you do, they will be removed by the software. If you are posting a Press Release select 1 (one) regional Press Release category. Similarly, if you are posting a News/Op-Ed article select 1 (one) regional News/Op-Ed category. This category DOES NOT determine who will receive your media. This category ONLY determines where on our website your media will appear. Select 1 (one) category only. Once you are ready, Submit your media for Review. It will be checked, edited as required and passed for publication by WireNews Editors within a reasonable time; usually within an hour.
A13: Yes, you can delete any Blog Post, Press Release or News/Op-Ed article that you control through your account. If you delete any media it CANNOT be recovered so you should be very sure you wish to delete something before you take this irreversible action.
A14: No, WireNews does not issue Press Cards/Credentials to everyone. The first step is to register with WireNews. After registration, reputable journalists, photojournalists, bloggers and citizen journalists may request a WireNews Press Card/Credential. All applications go through a strict vetting process.
A16: Payment is made via credit or debit card through the WireNews website. Under certain circumstances WireNews may accept payment by bank transfer to our UK bank, subject to conditions. The easiest way to pay is through the WireNews website.
A17: Your Press Card/Credential will be dispatched within 7 days from the date of application. Depending on your location it can take up to 7-10 days for delivery. If you require your Press Card/Credential quickly, please contact us before making your application.
A18: Approximately 30 days before the expiration date you will be charged automatically for a renewal application. When you receive notification that payment has been received you may take this opportunity to update your photo or other card details. If you have cancelled your Press Card/Credential subscription your Card will expire without notice.
A20: Yes, WireNews offers a number of Gatekeeper Schemes suitable for media companies. A Gatekeeper Scheme enables media companies to provide branded Press Cards/Credentials to their journalist employees.
